Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a consultation, and what is included?
€99 for the hour. That includes the call, by video or voice, our screen shared — you see where we look and what we compare with what — and a short note with links afterwards. There is nothing else to buy: no subscriptions, no add-ons, no “extended package”. Details are on the consultation page.
Do you book flights and hotels for me?
No. We show you how we do it ourselves, and you book it — directly, with nobody standing between you and the price. What you keep is the method, not one assembled trip. It is also why we have no affiliate links and take no commission from hotels: it makes no difference to us where you end up booking.
How does a consultation work?

Write to us on Telegram, WhatsApp or by e-mail: where you are going, roughly when, and what you want to talk about. We answer whether we can help, and only then do we agree a time. An hour by video or voice, in your time zone, questions at any point. Afterwards we send the note with links.

The same steps in more detail are under “How a consultation goes”.

What if you cannot help with my question?
Then we say so before you pay. We have been to 40+ countries, not to all of them, and inventing experience we do not have is pointless — you would notice within ten minutes. If we have nothing to add on your destination or your question, we will tell you. That answer costs nothing.
How is this different from reading blogs and watching videos?
Because the hour is about your trip, not the average one. A blog post says “book early”; what you need to decide is whether to fly on Tuesday from a different airport, and whether the extra connection is worth it — with your dates, your budget, your kids. And we answer back, which an article cannot. You can judge the method for free first: the blog walks through a flight search step by step.
How fast do you reply?
Within one business day, usually sooner. The answer to “can you help” comes before any payment. The hour itself we set at a time that suits you, in your time zone.
What do I have left after the call?
A short note: what we decided, what to search with, what to check in a price and what not to do — with links. The hour is better spent listening than taking notes. You assemble the trip yourself afterwards, and the note is what you do it with.
What language do we talk in?
English or Russian, whichever suits you. The note comes in the language we spoke.
How are you different from a travel agency?
A travel agency sells the trip and lives on commission — which is why it has “partner” hotels and why the best option is not always the one you are shown. We do not sell the trip and take no commission from anyone: we sell an hour of experience, and you do the booking. We have no ready-made tours either.
Will you try to sell me something afterwards?
No. The hour is the whole product. No affiliate links, no commission from hotels, no “and now let us put it all together for a separate fee”. If in a year you head somewhere else and want another hour, come back — but we will not be chasing you.
I have not decided where to go. Can you help me choose?
Yes, that is a perfectly good use of the hour. We work out what you want from this trip — pace, weather, budget, how much time in transit you can stand — and narrow it to two or three places that fit. The choice stays yours, but you make it knowing why.
What if my budget is tight?
Then the hour is worth more, not less. Money usually goes not on “expensive” but on bad decisions: a ticket bought on the wrong day, a hotel with a resort fee collected on arrival, rental car insurance that was sold for nothing. We will show you where to look and where it usually leaks. We will not promise savings — that depends on the destination and on how far you are willing to move your dates.
We travel as a family, with kids and grandparents. Is that your thing?
Yes, and this is exactly where a route breaks on the details: how long the flight is, how much layover you need with a pram, how many moves everyone can take, when a kitchen and a lift matter more than the view. We go through that with your dates and your group.
Why the name “SailSheep”?

Sail is freedom and new horizons. Sheep is warmth, trust, our friendly traveller. Together it even sounds like SailShip — made to go, not to sit still.

The name is older than the current offer: it comes from the years of putting whole trips together. The business changed, the sheep stayed. The rest of the story is on About us.

Do you support eco-friendly travel?
Yes. We point people at local places rather than chains, route around the overcrowded spots where there is a choice, and respect where you are going. Travelling well means travelling gently.

Still have questions? Write to us — we reply within one business day. Telegram, WhatsApp or info@sailsheep.com. Asking whether we can help costs nothing.
